Some things I've been working on

Well, it happened again. I've forgotten to update! But here are a few of the things I've worked on recently!

Here is a cutie little hat I made for one of my cute little nieces. I also made a black one in the same pattern with a red flower. They turned out so cute! I was a little disappointed with how short it was, but I think it's just because I'm used to the hats I make covering the ears of whoever is wearing it...

I made these cute beanies for my brother to give to someone who just had a baby boy. I am really pleased with the pattern of the yarn. I used the same multi-colored yarn on both and I love how they turned out!

This is one of my cutie little nieces!!! She is adorable--I can hardly stand it! Not to mention how adorable she looks in this beanie with an over-sized bow attached to it! I think at first it looks a little odd because the bow looks bigger than her head, but it grows on you...it grew on me at least. :)

I hope you all enjoy all that I make! If you would like me to make you something for either yourself or for someone you know, let me know! I can customize it however you'd like!  Happy Monday everyone!

I know, I know. Its been a while. But I have been working on several things I'm pretty excited about
I just finished a couple blankets for a couple sister-in-laws that are due the same week in November and I couldn't be happier about these baby blankets. I feel like they are very...they are just perfect for who they are for. The first one is for my husband's sister, Jenna, made with baby soft yarn in mint green and a magenta/white mix yarn in the granny-square chevron pattern. The last picture is the blanket made for my husband's brother's wife, Jennifer, made with navy blue, white, gray, and magenta yarn colors in the granny-square pattern.

The middle pictures are of some cute baby shoes I made for my husband's oldest sister, Alicia. I've never made baby shoes like this before and I'm so happy how they turned out! Not perfect, but pretty good considering I've never made them before!

Pictures to follow: The complete blankets made and other baby beanies made.

Note: Want a baby blanket made for someone you know, or for yourself? Or maybe a few beanies? Let me know! I custom make everything and am willing to sell these items! Someone's gotta make them!

For my Sis-in-law!

I made some things a little while back for a beloved sis-in-law (she knows who she is...) and her unborn baby girl. I made her several baby beanies, a baby blanket, and an adorable little baby cardigan. ...I didn't think it was possible either, but it is easier than it looks! Here are a couple pictures she took:

Here are some pictures I took:

The last two are pictures of a blanket and baby beanie I made for another sister-in-law who is pregnant. It's in the water over here, I don't know what to tell you. It's baby fever over here in my family, so expect more pictures and updates of  things I'll be making for my other sisters-in-law who are pregnant. That's right. I have four sisters-in-law who are pregnant. Right now. Good times.

Multi-colored scarves

So for Christmas this past year, I made a couple different scarves for a couple different people. I really love how they turned out.

They other one I made had two different purples and gray. I love how they turned out! It's chevron-esque, and has yarn tassle-esque ends...I have no idea how to describe it to you as if you were blind...or 3 years old. But you can kind of tell from the pictures! And they are pretty long, so it's easy to wrap around your neck.

I've also made this scarf for my sis-in-law Hannah:

It's an eternity scarf, so it's connected, but still pretty long and warm! They colors are black and a sage green, just in a simple block pattern.

Every time I post I think, I love making [whatever I just posted about]! It's my favorite thing to make! Well, I guess it's just that I really like crocheting and love how things turn out!

Til later!

Some recent projects

So, it turns out I'm not so great at updating. BUT, here I am. Once again, trying to share what I've done for others. I just LOVE making things for my family and friends. They mean so much to me and this is how I feel I can give back to them for things they've done for me. Here's some of the projects I've worked on recently:

So many people I know are having babies! (It's a little weird...) One of my favorite things to make are baby beanies! I try and not to make the same kind every time...I would get bored of them. I can't actually remember who I made the pink and white ones for....yikes. BUT, the others were all for my sis-in-law Alicia who is due in July! Crazy. So. Many. Babies.

Until next time!

New Things!

You won't believe all the cute things I've been doing! ...Ok. Maybe you will...

Like this!
That's right. That's me. But look at that cute scarf!!! I made it so that the buttons will make it kind of an infinity scarf. It matches the beanie I made, and talked about in my last post! (It's for the same person, who would have thought?!) Here's another picture:

So, you can kind of tell that I made holes on the one side for the buttons. It's just a simple scarf--and it's super warm, too!

Next post: (It should be about:) I'm making a handful of baby beanies for a very good friend of mine, Alli Pugh! She's having her first baby, and it's a boy!

Welcome!

Hello!
You probably already know me. And that's ok. You probably already know that I crochet things. That's ok, too. :) It's my intent to post when I finish a new project. It's going to be great fun. I just know it.
So here's my latest project. Let me tell you about it.

Last year, our ward (church congregation) did an auction for the youth to send them to camp. The auction was made so everyone who wanted to could give of their talents, or food, or service, ...I think you get the idea. So, being the helpful person I sometimes am, I volunteered to crochet 5 different items for 5 different people. I've already made one of my "baby kits" --those include a baby beanie, baby mittens, and baby booties-- for a woman from the ward. This last one was from our Relief Society President. (The president over the women in the congregation ages 18+. If you couldn't tell, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is very organized. Down to the tee.) She wanted a light gray beanie with a dark brown button on the side. Let me tell you, I did not think it would look as good as it turned out.
So, as usual, the Relief Society President was inspired. I did have some issues with it though. I didn't finish it in one sitting. So naturally, I forgot what size hook I was using. I had to go back a few times and redo a few rows before finally finishing it. But here we are! And how wonderful it looks.

So, here's to updating at least once a week. See you soon!
